Services
Pangaea Translations offers a variety of translation and communication services. Please reach out to discuss your project! This page offers a list of some of the projects I commonly work with.
Certified Official Document Translations in Washington State
If you are going through the process to adjust your immigration status in the United States, including applying for asylum or a visa, you will likely need to file paperwork that includes certified translations of records from your country of origin. My background in social services and as a court interpreter gives me considerable experience with these documents.
Forms that I offer certified into-English translations for include the following:
-Birth and death certificates
-Marriage certificates
-Bank statements
-Personal testimonies/narratives
-Academic transcripts
You should always ask the entity who will be receiving the translation what type of certification (and notarization or apostille, if applicable) is required. Please reach out if you would like to inquire further about any type of official document for certified translation.
Price is set by the format of the document, so sending a scan of the document via email will allow me to get back to you with an exact quote.
CORPORATE TRANSLATIONS
I work with corporate clients in the United States to help businesses effectively reach a US Spanish-speaking audience, without errors or cultural missteps.
My business services include:
-Bilingual copywriting (web content, blogs)
-Into-Spanish translation of product labels, nutritional labels for food products, product copy strategies
-Human resources: into-Spanish translation of personnel manuals, human resources regulations, and labor laws
I pride myself on helping business teams get their message across clearly on the first try, whether it be within the company or to connect with a marketing demographic. If you have a project in mind, I’d love to chat.
HEALTH & SOCIAL SCIENCE WRITING & TRANSLATIONS
In line with my master’s degree and professional background in public health, I have been a researcher and contributor to several bilingual studies and focus groups. I trained both at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta (Master’s practicum) and in state and university research positions, and have written and received research grants for qualitative research designs in the US and Mexico.
My services include:
-Translation (into-English) and organization of interviews and other qualitative data
- Translation of study subject-facing materials: informed consent, study recruitment
- Translation of theses, study abstracts, white papers in psychology and the social sciences
- Academic writing, proofreading/editing, and manuscript preparation
-Grant-writing assistance for non-profits
EDUCATION & HEALTH PROMOTION
With experience working as an interpreter and translator in K12 education in the United States, as well as in community health clinics, I have a passion and personal interest for translating documents related to both areas. Some examples of services I provide in this area include:
-Public school district newsletters and resource bulletins for parents (into Spanish)
-School district emergency planning and security update advisories for families
-Translation of health education materials: nutrition, healthy pregnancy, family planning, mental health
I love working with non-profit and government agencies to collaborate on the goal of health promotion and equity at the community level.
